About the Role
As a Patient Transport Manager, you are tasked with leading the on-site operational team from the front, acting as a positive role model for staff at all levels. Identifying areas of improvement and formulating a plan of action to implement such changes.
The team are responsible for collecting and transporting patients to a desired location. With a variable amount of transport requests a day, we need to ensure consistency in the quality of the service provided for every single patient.
Managing a talented team of both ACA’s (Ambulance Care Assistants) and Senior ACA’S, you will be expected to motivate, develop and coach such individuals, ensuring key KPI’s of the contract are achieved, whilst providing exceptional customer service to our patients.
A typical day in this role would consist of, working with various stakeholders (including HR, Commercial, Fleet& Finance teams), reviewing roster management, payroll management, recruiting new team members and respond to fleet concerns.
To be shortlisted for this role you must be able to evidence:
Ability to plan and organise workloads within tight timescales, whilst working under pressure
Professionalism and integrity towards clients, patients and colleagues
Understanding of statutory regulations and organisational policies and procedures
Reporting on key metrics and KPI’s
Strong interpersonal skills
In addition to the above, due to the nature of this role, the successful applicant would need to possess a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
