We are looking for dedicated Volunteer Drivers to become part of our non-emergency patient transport team and provide a professional caring service for all patients whilst in the care of Falck UK Ambulance Service.

You will be expected to drive and assist patients using our non-emergency patient transport when attending appointments at clinics or hospitals.

You will need

  • Your own car - taxed, valid MOT and insurance
  • Excellent local knowledge of roads

You will be provided with the following training:

  • Manual handling
  • Basic First Aid
  • Using and managing your handheld Android/PDA

In return, we will reimburse your mileage at 45p per mile, round trip from your home.

In order to apply for this role, you need a full UK manual car driving licence, with a minimum of 3 years driving experience. Please note we will only consider applications with no more than 6 penalty points on your licence.

DISCLOSURE AND BARRING SERVICE CHECK

Due to the range of patients you may encounter, you are required to complete a mandatory DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We operate both enhanced Adult and Children checks for this role in line with our compliance.
