Our Imperial Renal Hub wins a 'Make a difference' Award!
Working collaboratively with our NHS Clients is one of the key ways in which Falck are able work through the Covid19 pandemic and ensure we continue to deliver a world class, caring and compassionate service for our patients.
It is this spirit of collaboration which saw Falck Ambulance work closely with the Senior Nephrology teams at Imperial Healthcare to set up a Renal Hub; a central group of colleagues responsible for supporting the patient pathways and ensure no delays in dialysis treatment in the event of a positive Covid diagnosis. We’re proud to announce that our team were awarded an Imperial Healthcare ‘Make a Difference’ award for the exceptional work they have delivered within the Renal Hub to keep patients safe.
Evie Osbourne, Renal Coordinator, received the award on behalf of the team and for her contribution with the Hub ensuring patients were allocated the correct transport and ensuring the patients and staff were kept safe while patients were being transitioned to isolation units and then back to their usual unit once the period of isolation was completed.
Clarence Spencer-Jones, Renal Business Manager at Imperial NHS Trust said “We wanted to thank our colleagues in Falck who have supported us with a very difficult and uncertain time. The onsite support of Evie has been instrumental in ensuring that our patients remained safe and pathways were efficient. I’m proud to say that we were able to break the barriers of two different teams into one team supporting one objective – Patients first”
